When you create a course you can decide if you would like it to issue a certificate.

The certificate is automatically issued when the user completes all of the modules in the course. 

Certificates will dynamically add:

• learner name
• learner email address (optional)
• course name
• date passed
• status (passed or complete)
• score (optional, if saved by a scorm module)

You can specify how long a certificate is valid - this will indicate it has expired from the learners home page.

You can also specify how many days warning learners get before their certificate expires.

These options are available from  Manage Courses > {course} > Edit Certificate.

Certificate backgrounds can be customised under branding options.
